About me

I am a technology enthusiast with over 20 years of experience in the industry, driven by a deep passion for understanding how technology works from the ground up.

My career began with the founding of an open source consultancy that ran successfully for 9 years, providing high-level technical expertise to companies across Europe. I also co-founded another company that secured €1M in angel investment, focused on developing a set-top box solution to manage the digital services needs of SMEs.

Following this entrepreneurial phase, I transitioned into roles as a Firmware Lead and Linux Expert. During this time, I worked closely with hardware engineers to develop embedded systems for critical public safety applications in Brazil, Mexico and Europe.

For the past 8+ years, I have been a key contributor at Fresco, where I played a pivotal role in conceptualizing, architecting and implementing the Fresco KitchenOS platform, an event-driven architecture composed of multiple serverless microservices following domain-driven design principles.

The platform connects smart kitchen appliances, recipes and users. As Senior Principal Engineer, my contributions range from redesigning the system to leverage AWS services such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, AWS IoT Core, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, etc… to leading the development of its critical firmware and cloud services.
